Summertime

Summer finally arrived when school ended June 17th and, after the girls rode their bikes in the driveway, we were off on our Gubler camping trip!  Uncle Ty and cousins Jessie, Ben and Seth were with us and were great helpers.  I loved camping with men and boys - no hard work for me!  They loaded, unloaded and set up tents and took down tents.  It was great and I was happy to do the cooking. :)  Even though we only camped for  a day and a half, we still managed to go on several hikes, rain and shine, create lots of campfires, play games and some even braved the cold, cold water.  Of course we had smore's too - yumm!  Shelden enjoyed metal detecting with the Northwest Treasure Hunters Club while we were there.  He came home with over $100.00 in coins and cash prizes!
Last ride home from school this year!

Setting up the "blue" camp.  The "red" camp had a red tarp
 over their tent.

Play ground close by = bonus.

Camp fire time.  Jessie was our awesome fire starter.

We fought the law and the law won.  The ranger was
kind enough not to give us a ticket!
